Request to embed videos directly in newsletters so they can be played within the email, rather than redirecting to an external link. This feature would enhance user experience by enabling video playback without leaving the email client.

Our team has seen requests for this as well. Based on our research, it looks like embedded video in emails is supported by Apple Mail, Samsung Mail, and Thunderbird.

Our request is to upgrade the existing Video Block to support embedded video where it is available by the email client. Meanwhile, where it is unavailable, we can default to the block as it is now (thumbnail + open the URL in a new tab), or a gif instead. Our clients are looking to have a more seamless email experience for their contacts. Enabling embedded video where it's available will empower our users to further engage those contacts.
